This is a proof of concept. I've moved the hardcoded YAML calls out of the code and made the serializer a config option.

My specific use-case is to be able to store these changes in an hstore column in Postgres.

Thoughts?

+1, Looks good to me!

That's a good idea to store it in an hstore column. That would make it a lot easier to query for only the versions that made changes to a specific attribute, wouldn't it?
