C++ extensions for Defold uses the .script_api files for annotations. Example — https://github.com/thejustinwalsh/defold-xmath/blob/main/xmath/api/xMath.script_api.

On pause, for now the situation with the future of annotation formats for Defold Editor is not clear. Perhaps there will be ready-made annotations.
