The AnnotationPopover that is shown when hovering over the rating in the list of mappings does not work very well. There have been many bugs related to this component over time and we should probably redesign this part from scratch.

Some ideas:

  • Move the rating buttons inline so that they are more easily reachable.
  • Details could still be shown in a popover and/or in MappingDetails.
  • The MappingDetails component could also include voting/confirmation functionality.
  • Question: How to design this so that we don't have too many buttons in the list of mappings?
  • Question: For people who don't know how Cocoda works, the rating system might not be evident just looking at the buttons and the number. Not sure how to improve this.
