Fully strip markdown?

Using SimpleMarkdown.defaultReactOutput I'm rendering a Markdown string to React. Now additionally I'm also offering a "copy to clipboard" button to copy the Markdown string to the user's clipboard. Any chance there is some defaultOutput (or similar) which essentially strips my string from any Markdown and returns a plain string?

That doesn't look like a technical concern of a library that provides the way to copy text.
It is possible to use onCopy callback and modify content as needed in the app's context
