404 in public folder

For me worked only after putting 404.html in the public folder. Maybe should be the case to specify that. Using vite i have the index.html in the root folder. I dont know if it depends by that.

I had to do the same thing to get this working.

same here, took me a while to figure out and found i just neet to put 404.html in the public folder....
