I've been using the md-compiler branch, in order to be able to include latex equations. The issue I am having is that it looks like '' are removed from equations:
The following doesn't work
$$\frac{1}{2}$$
I can solve it by adding a '' as follows
$$\\frac{1}{2}$$

I think this is the expected behavior. Isn't the \ necessary? Does using Pandoc change this behavior? Using latex equations is supported by Literate by using KaTeX by default.
Also, the md-compiler branch has been merged, so you can just use master.
