ChemReg 2.0 User Guide
This page describes the operation of the ChemReg 2.0 user interface.
At the time of writing, the application presents every user with two views: Substances and Lists. A user with appropriate permissions can also access a Vocabularies page that lists all the controlled vocabularies used by the application to restrict attribute assignments.
A user arrives at the Substances page via either the search bar, which uses the Resolver to return a substance or compound in response to an identifier query, or the time-sorted treeview of days and users in the collapsible sidebar.
ChemReg offers the user tools to search, browse, and edit substances, and to associate the substances with compounds. Each compound's structure can be edited and saved to the database with the editor appropriate to its type.
For defined compounds, the page displays a Ketcher workspace. Ill-defined compounds, Markush-enumerable compounds, and Markush queries use the MarvinJS editor.
The Lists page presents an index of the lists that users have provided of substances and compounds. Each item in the index links to a detail view with the list's metadata.
The ChemReg application uses controlled vocabularies to constrain the values that can be assigned to many descriptive attributes. The collections of controlled vocabularies are shown on this page.
