Factions and Corporations

Traits And Corporations @tranberry @longtomjr @koosemoose

We've been discussing game design in #gamedesign on discord.

This is what we thought would be a nice way to handle factions: This system works on having randomly generated corporations that have certain traits. These traits will determine how they act in game and will give the player a bit of a moral choice, as well as being more and less influential to the Corporation. Two corporations might have the same trait let's say "Slaver" where one have a weak tolerance of slaves and the other will enslave as much as it possibly could.

These factions/corporations will also have relationships with each other depending on their traits (moral and ethics?). This means that if you help FactionA, FactionB might launch raids against you or maybe just raise their prices, depending on their traits.

This should give you an idea of how this system might work.
