Use case workflow
By connecting various parties through Cardano blockchain, parties are able to interact through smart contract workflows that allow for complete transparency in the ownership, authorship, and copyright processes:
- 1st Creator: Autonomous authorship management
- Co-Creator: Invited to authorship acknowledgement
- Claimer: Claim authorship acknowledgement
- Jury: Resolving disputes
Alice decides to register her original creation (e.g. a video of her dancing) in POCRE, to tell the world she is the author of it. She describes what she did and where the original creation is viewable (as a link).
However, this creation uses external materials (e.g. the music) not created by Alice. She recognised Bob as the author of these materials and promote him as a co-author of her original creation.
After the submission, POCRE returns a QR code representing the immutable "contract" showing Alice's creation authorship. Alice can mark her video with the QR code and publish it everywhere (e.g. TikTok).
Bob is alerted of this recognition and accepts the co-authorship of Alice's creation.
However, someone doesn't agree with that. Charlie believes he is the real author of the external material used by Alice and he wants to be the only one entitled as co-author.
Charlie claims the paternity of the materials.
Bob receive the litigation notification and he can decide to go for:
- pacific reconciliation, which means he recognises Charlie as the co-author
- start a dispute, which means waiting for the jury's verdict after its voting process
In the case of dispute, a few (>3) random 4 stars users are randomly elected as jury members. They become anonymous 5 stars users (not allowed to make any new creations, but just voting) and after the analysis of the contested materials vote for approval or rejection or abstention of the claim.
Based on the votes Bob keeps his creation authorship or it is assigned to Charlie.
