It can now handle a large number of assets in a single day or month and has been successfully tested with a very large data set (over a million assets). Photographers frequently request this since they can easily take thousands of photos in a given day. With these performance improvements, you'll see fewer placeholders while loading, which will make for a more fluid scrolling and scrubbing experience. ##### Library refresh stability In relation to the previous point, the stability of library scanning has improved. Previously, you could run out of memory when starting a refresh with libraries containing millions of assets. Now, we queue the refresh jobs in batches. These enhancements won't make scanning go any faster, but they greatly reduce the likelihood of out-of-memory errors that would cause Immich to crash. ##### Mobile album sync You can now sync or mirror an album from your phone to the Immich server on your account. For example, if you select `Recents`, `Camera` and `Videos` album for backup, the corresponding album with the same name will be created on the server. Once the assets from those albums are uploaded, they will be put into the target albums automatically. Current search filterbox behavior for the camera make and model is not consistent with other linked search criteria (like location).
For the web, when selecting a make and model, trying to re-select a make only shows the make linked to the currently selected model.
^In the above image, the library has many different makes, but this is not shown since a model is currently selected.
This PR changes the behavior (to align with locations) to show all makes no matter which model is selected, and when a make is selected, the model is cleared (if the make selection actually changes).
A similar behavior is observed in the mobile, where when changing a parented linked selection (make->model and country->state->city) the child is not cleared, allowing for a mismatch of parent and child. This PR changes that behavior (resolving a regression in #10385 that did not set the dropdown values correctly [initial, or when changing linked pairs]) to always clear the child when a parent linked item is changed. It also sets the dropdown's initial values to match an existing value.
