This update fixes the issue (on Mac) where, after hiding the app by clicking on the close button, the window wouldn't show up again when clicking on the Dock icon.

Version 1.5.5

This release fixes a couple bugs related to the "elapsed time" field in the status: now the time will be accurate even when the same song restarts or when manually moving to a point in the song.

Additionally, the behavior of the close button has been changed: rather than exiting the app, it'll hide it. Note that, at least on MacOS, to make it visible again you'll need to click on the menu bar icon.

Version 1.5.4

This small updated fixes an issue where the song name would get cut in the status even when it was the only field on the first line, and it also improves the field trimming overall.

This version fixes a couple issues on Windows:

  • Now the icon shows up correctly in the system tray.
  • Now the Discord status will correctly update when a song stops playing.

Version 1.5.2

This release adds a button on the menu bar which hides the main window when pressed, so you can run the app in the background without the window being displayed. Note that the app icon will still be shown in the app dock (removing it is possible, but it makes the app not work in its current state).
Also added a (poorly made) icon for the .exe and .app files.

Version 1.5.1

This small update fixes a connection error that happened when running the app with a more recent JDK (e.g. JDK 13 and 14).

This version expands the Settings panel introduced in version 1.4 to add customization options on how the Artist and Album fields are displayed in the status: now you can choose if to place them in the top or bottom line, or remove them entirely.
As for the emoji option, the new settings will apply when playing a new song.

Version 1.4

31 May 20:54

This version adds a "Settings" panel with which you can:

  • Change the image shown in the status, or set to use no image.
  • Enable or disable emojis in the status. If disabled, the second row will display "By [artist], from [album]".

Note that after changing the settings, the effects will only show up when the current playing song changes. Also, since this adds new preferences to save to file, the "Connect automatically" option will reset to default the first time you open the new version after updating it.

Version 1.3.1

This small update fixes an issue where playing songs that are not in the iTunes library (e.g., song previews on the store or from a station) wouldn't display on the app/in the Discord status.
