Most charts define a "subPath" for each volumeMount - I believe this is the current workaround for the "lost+found" issue when a non-initialized volume is expected on the first run.
Is there a way to kompose generate YAMLs (and charts) with a subPath for each volumeMount? This is a must have, AFAIK...
