Catastrophic Errors

  • We should demonstrate both catastrophic and non-catastrophic errors when we have the revised proposal.

FT Interoperability

  • Could we "close out" one FT model before requesting another to allow multiple models? Doing so would avoid the problem of multiple libraries asking for models at the same time.
    • We'd need to be careful to make sure all outstanding communication is done.

Error Filtering

  • Do we want to allow error filtering? Allow the user to turn off error notification for certain error classes (or the inverse of only getting error notification for specific error classes).
    • We'd add an API to include or exclude specific error classes.
  • Aurelien argues that this isn't syntactic sugar because it could improve performance by turning off certain features for certain communicators (e.g. ULFM).

We won't meet again until January 3rd.
