Kasli Backplane Adaptor

Backplane adapter for Kasli v1.1 and VHDCI carriers. Required to access the 4x connectors (EEM 8-11) routed to the backplane on Kasli v1.1.

Design files (schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs) can be found at Kasli-backplane-adapter/releases.

Power supplies are filtered, it's an alternative to front panel power jack. Clock signal may be terminated if MMCX connector is not placed (see schematics).

Depreciation

No backplane was ever produced to match the connector on Kasli v1.1 and the idea was discontinued in favor of a Compact PCI Serial solution. The backplane connector has been depreciated on Kasli from v2 onwards and this adaptor is no longer required to access EEM 8-11 on those boards.

Whilst it is also compatible with the VHDCI carrier, it only functions as a way of powering the card, and so is likely of little practical use (you can just mount a barrel connector instead of the backplane connector on VHDCI carrier if you want a way of powering it from the rear).
